1. Make Changes If You Need To
When you get home, you’ll be soaring! You’ll feel on fire, inspired and excited. Don’t let that slip away. If you’re inspired to make changes in your life, make them. Whether you feel called to commit more time to ministry, give more for others, cut back on your lifestyle or anything elseÑfollow your convictions and allow yourself to really change!
2. Interact with us on social media
Your mission experience doesn’t have to end when you get home. We’re always out in the field doing mission work and, even if you can’t always join us, you can stay in the loop. It’s okay, you can @ us. Find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter… and tag us in your trip photos!
3. Tell people your experience
What happens in the mission field doesn’t stay in the mission field. Tell everyone about your experience! In fact, you’ll probably have a hard time NOT telling peopleÑthat’s okay. Let your enthusiasm spread by sharing what God is doing to bring humanity closer to each other and closer to Him.
4. Present at your church or school
Beyond just talking with people one-on-one about what you experienced, you can also inspire larger groups by making a presentation. People love to see photos, hears stories and get first-hand mission accounts. We’ll even hook you up with a QHM PowerPoint and some promotional material if you let us know!
5. Recruit your friends!
Once you’ve sparked people’s interest by sharing what happened to you in the mission field, call them to action. Take the opportunity to draw them into their own life-changing mission. Not only do they not want to miss out, more volunteers are desperately needed to continue the work!
6. Help us capture the stories
Unless you’re an elephant, no matter how vivid and crystalized your incredible memories are, they’ll fade with time. You don’t want to forget what God has done through you, so document it. Plus, we love your help in gather amazing photos and stories from the field. Write down your stories, save all your photos and share them with us.
