Nov 25, 2020 Give thanks with a grateful heart

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 107:1

Gratitude is a precious attitude to cultivate. Now more than ever, the QHM team is counting our blessings. We praise God for all His provision. And we especially praise God for all of youÑthe faithful supporters who make outreach projects possible with your gifts and prayers and participation.

Here are a few testimonies of thankfulness for all the Lord is doing around the world.

Praise for God’s Guidance in Ethiopia

After planning for a mission project that would take place in Ethiopia in January, it would have been easy for the team to feel disappointed when continued travel restrictions caused us to postpone the trip. But the team trusted God’s promise that He is able to make all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

When the QHM office proposed new April project dates to our partners in Ethiopia, Pastor Addisu responded:

Praise God! April is even better! There’s no rain and it’s a holiday during that time–people won’t be working. Even the farmers will be free to attend the meetings. God is truly on our side! We’ll continue to pray that travel will be possible at that time.

Gratitude for Answered Prayer in the Philippines

QHM partners in the Philippines also shared their gratitude this Thanksgiving season. SULADS is an educational system in the Philippines designed to train the Lumads people group.

Hilson Badang Jr. shares:

We are so thankful for you, especially this year. Your support has been an answer to prayer! We’ve been praying specifically that our training hall could expand in size to support our increased volunteer trainees. Our space began to get too crowded during our trainings and other gatherings. Thank you for your financial support for the needed construction to expand our space. We really value it and see it as an answer to prayer!

Also, the head of the Sulads Comprehensive High School for the Lumads (SCHSL) is very grateful that the funds to purchase needed computers for the school have arrived. God is really good! You are truly a blessing to the SULADS ministry.

Heartfelt Thanks in Romania

Pastor Ovidiu Burbulea in Romania expressed his thoughts saying:

At times we have felt like Elijah, that we’re all alone in trying to finish the work–but God says, Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel. (1 Kings 19:18) I’m reminded that the gospel commission is God’s planÑthat He provides the manpower and material resources. We are very grateful for your timely financial support. I am grateful that God still has seven thousand who are not seen, but who are used at the right timeÑand you are one of them. May God’s abundant grace sustain you in all that you do!

Friendship and Appreciation in Peru

Pastor David Echevarria, our partner for a floating classrooms project on Lake Titicaca in Peru, shares his gratitude:

As a Quiet Hour Ministries partner, I am very grateful for the life and health that God has given me. I’m also thankful for His strength to continue serving Him and fulfilling our mission. And I deeply appreciate my friends in ministry like QHM. Praise God we can serve together in the work that God has entrusted to us. Dear friends, please know I’m at your service for whatever you need. I am praying for you all, your families and ministry. May we move forward together by God’s grace until the work is finished.

Gratitude for our ministry partners and you!

The Quiet Hour Ministries team praises God for these precious testimonies. We’re so thankful for our international partners and their passion for serving the Lord.

We also want to express our deep appreciation for one more personÑYOU! Your engagement and support makes the difference, touching lives around the world through amazing ministry projects. Without your support, these testimonies wouldn’t exist. Without your donations, our gospel mission wouldn’t move forward. Without your donations, lives wouldn’t be touched and won for Christ.

Thank God for the difference you make! May God bless each of our international partners, team members, prayer partners, donors and supporters. Please remember the global ripple and eternal impact your gift makes when you give.

I thank my God every time I remember you. Philippians 1:3
