Feb 23, 2022 God Multiplies in Bolivia

Your mother only has about six months to live, the doctor told Albis, leaving him to share this news with his mother and family. Although he was tempted with sorrow, Albis instead decided to take this situation to the Lord in prayer. We didn’t tell mom about thisÑinstead the whole family started praying for her healing, shared Albis. And now, praise God, six year later mom is still with us! Prayer works!

This is just one of the many answers to prayer Albis has experienced after deciding to help as a Bible worker. This big decision came after his father’s passing and remembering his father’s dream of becoming a preacher. Instead of challenges, Albis sees a call to prayer.

People see today’s situation as very bleak because of the virus, shared Albis, but as Christians, we have an opportunity to reach out and offer hope. Albis is a computer engineer, and his wife is a professor. After they finish with their day jobs, Albis and his family focus on doing missionary work.

God multiplies! shared Albis’ wife. I met one woman at our university, and she was very interested in studying the Bible. At first it was just her studying, but as she learned more about God, she invited her children, their families, and all the in-laws too!

Albis and his family now have 4 families they’re studying the Bible with. Praise God for this amazing example of total member involvement in the Bolivian Mission!

Here are some highlights reported from the Central and Eastern Bolivian Missions:

The Central Bolivian Mission reports a successful mega annual evangelism project in partnership with Quiet Hour Ministries. With the support from QHM and programmed evangelistic efforts, the Central Bolivian Mission added 3,898 new members to the Seventh-day Adventist Church! Praise God! The project utilized the recruitment and training of missionary messengers, and evangelism through a thousand missionary messengers and missionary partners. Mission kits containing Bible study lessons and a baptismal guide.

Evangelism from March to September focused on 4 large activities: Easter Evangelism, Women’s Evangelism, Caleb Mission and Spring Evangelism.

During the Easter Evangelism, there were 518 preaching centers for adults and 350 for children. As a result, there were 4,686 Bible students and 1,372 baptisms from January 1 – April 17, 2021.

The Spring Campaign had 433 adult preaching centers and 336 children’s centers. There was a total of 4,091 members involved serving 3,646 Bible students resulting in 990 baptisms.

Additionally, the East Bolivia Mission reports from Santa Cruz that there were 7 gospel workers who reached 251 Bible study and baptismal candidates. There were 62 baptisms after 7 evangelistic meetings which took place during June 1 – October 31, 2021. There were 27 Bibles distributed and 650 pieces of literature distributed. Adult attendance was 140 and 35 children attended. Activities included health fairs, collection and distribution of food, free hairdressing services, Bible studies at home, evangelistic meetings and Mission Caleb.

Praise God for all the lives He is transforming through these outreach activities! Will you continue to pray for mission in Bolivia?

The Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one who hears say, Come! Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. Revelation 22:17
