Jul 20, 2022 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Pastor Hang, my son is deaf and mute, so he cannot hear. Pastor Hang was stunned by this news. He had seen Ton come to the meetings every night at the Domrey Sor Church in Cambodia. Ton sat on the fourth row and listened attentively to the messages that had been preached evening after evening. Pastor Hang said, Sometimes, I saw him with a smiling face and laughed now and then. It seemed like he was deeply moved by the messages that had been presented and clearly understood the Word of God.

On the fourth day of the meeting, Pastor Hang asked two questions as he closed the message with an appeal. He asked, Would any of you like to be free from sin that leads to death? and Would anyone like to live a new life in heaven? He invited people with those desires to come to the front for a special prayer for God’s blessing. Suddenly, Ton raised his hand and came to the front platform with a hundred other people. After Pastor Hang finished with the prayer, people went back to their seats.

At the end of the meeting, a drawing was made for door prizes as gifts for people who were attending. Pastor Hang notice that Ton had received a radio device that plays an audio version of the Bible.

The next day after the meeting over, Pastor Hang went to visit Ton in his home. Ton had his radio on and was listening to the Word of God. Pastor Hang asked him, Do you understand what you are hearing? Ton turned to Pastor Hang and smiled. That’s when Ton’s mother shocked Pastor Hang with the news that Ton was deaf. She said, But for the past few days since he has been attending your meetings, it seems like Ton can hear!

Pastor Hang called Ton’s name, and Ton turned to look at the pastor with a smile. Ton’s mother confirmed that Ton had heard him. Pastor Hang asked, Brother Ton, please turn to me and hold on to your radio, I would like a picture of you.

Ton turned toward Pastor Hang with a gentle smile as he held his radio. Then Pastor Hang told him, If you want to be able to hear, please come to the church and surrender your life to Jesus. Ton smiled and nodded his head.

Pastor Hang reports, It is a true miracle that God made a deaf person hear His word. Indeed, there is no other God like Him in this world. May glory and honor be unto Him and with gratitude for His abundant grace that He has bestowed.

Pastor Hang’s meetings are one of six recently completed projects in the Cambodia Adventist Mission in partnership with Quiet Hour Ministries.

But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! Matthew 13:8-9
