Jun 4, 2018 “I Thank Allah for the Bible”
I had the privilege of returning to my home country of Bosnia, with our mission team recently. I’m so thankful for those of you who supported this mission. On so many levels, it was a divine appointment to be there.
The Adventist conference president, the local pastor and the members in Sarajevo were so grateful and so involved. We really felt like co-laborers in the workÑwhich I really liked. The team was amazing, and everyone really gave their best.
The local church members truly need so much support. It’s really pioneer work, in that there are so few Adventist members (only 320) in Bosnia. This is true in all of the former Yugoslav countries, but especially Bosnia.
At the church where I was preaching an evangelism series, I met a man who had come to our health clinic in the middle of town. Our team encouraged him to attend the meetings. He was a Muslim.
After my presentation one night, he came up to me and said that he found the message to be incredible and he was glad to be a part of the meetings. He was overwhelmed and said something that I found fascinating.
He told me, I thank Allah that I can no longer read the Quran. I go to my neighbor’s home and read the Bible. I thought the Bible was the truth and after what you’ve said tonight, I’m realizing that it really is truth.
I was shocked that he was thanking Allah for the Bible!
Evangelism outreach in this part of the world is so desperately needed, yet so rare. I’m excited for us to continue helping keep the gospel flame going in Europe. It’s really a dying continent and we can truly do some huge work and make a big difference.
