Sep 7, 2022 Inspiration to Isolated Indonesian Islands

Would you travel by boat to remote islands to give Bible studies? Well, this is exactly what the gospel workers are doing in Luwu Tana Toraja, Indonesia!

There are many islands in this region, and our dedicated gospel workers were determined to reach these isolated communities for Christ.

Pastor Imanuel Lisupadang, President of the Luwu Tana Toraja Mission was happy to report about the care groups, evangelistic meetings and revival services. Because of generous QHM donors, the Mission increased its gospel worker team by three young pastors and four gospel workers. There have been 14 evangelistic meetings, in addition to many Bible studies and visitations. We praise God for the fruits of the evangelistic series resulting in a total of 66 souls taking a stand for Jesus in baptism!

In the Musi Church in South Talaud, Pr. Denny and his wife Elly led out in a series of meetings entitled Jesus Christ, My Shepherd. But even before the meetings, Pr. Denny and Pr. Mamuli reached out to the community, serving individuals who asked for personal Bible studies and prayer. Praise God for the four precious souls that were baptized as a result of God blessing their efforts.

In the Salurang District in Sanihe, boats were used to transport guests to the meeting site. Uncovering Secrets of the Bible was presented by Pr. Warno Suleh, the Chairman of the North Island Mission, and Brother Jimmy Pesik, Treasurer. Boats also were used in these islands to meet requests for Bible studies. Our international partners wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to come to the meetings. Praise God for His blessing, as 17 individuals gave their hearts to Christ in baptism!

The evangelistic meetings have been held at Lisupadang, Pulao, Simbuang and in the Sima region of Tosik. Please pray for the ongoing evangelistic effort throughout the Luwu Tana Toraja areas. Pray that God will continue to provide and bless.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, Your God reigns! Isaiah 52:7
