Jan 4, 2021 He just can’t wait.

I don’t know about you, but we can’t wait for this pandemic to be over. But I also know that we can’t wait for until it’s over to keep sharing Jesus! The pandemic rages on and through it all, we see God’s hand in the midst of the storm.

It is, of course, more challenging to share Him when we are still so restricted in our movements. But through QHM CaresÑreaching across borders, your support enables the Holy Spirit to work in hearts around the world. Kenya is one of those places.

In vast parts of Kenya, and especially throughout the Maasai region, the economy is supported mainly through tourism. But as you can imagine, the reduction of travel has hobbled the Kenyan economy. In the village of Musani, where large scale evangelism meetings had been scheduled for 2020, pandemic-related setbacks were further complicated by torrential rain and flooding. This meant meetings could not be held outdoors.

Many people might be tempted give up in discouragement and go home and wait for life to return to normal.

But not QHM partner in Kenya, Tombe Adventist Youth Ministry! They’ve steadily shared Jesus this year, still reaching more than 3,400 people in six months! With a grand celebration, 118 brothers and sisters were baptized into the family of God recently on Sabbath, December 12. The group has also distributed nearly 350 local-language Bibles in the area and 85 more people enrolled in Bible study classes. Praise God!

Because of people like you, the good news of Jesus can be told. Tombe Adventist Youth Ministry director Ronald Nyabinge says that the support you’ve given ensures that the work continues into this year. “I have prepared two teams for Orindo and another for Sekiani,” he writes.

Your gifts make it possible to hire local gospel workers to distribute local-language Bibles, and in some parts of the world, provide access to critical pandemic supplies like masks, hand sanitizer and soap or hand washing stations.

This year, we’ve all been reminded over and over that God is faithful. Psalms 34:4 (NIV) says, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” As we step gingerly into the future we know He will answer those who seek Him. Thank you, for your support of those on the front lines of continuing to share His saving grace!
