Mar 27, 2024 Kids Want to Know More about Jesus
“Can we keep this going?” asked the gospel workers in Cambodia. “This is something special!”
This team of gospel workers had been hired by Quiet Hour Ministries to visit in the community before, during, and after the mission trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. And, at the end of their contract, something exceptional happened.
During the mission trip, the kids had started learning about Jesus every evening during the children’s program. After our U.S. team went home, the gospel workers kept meeting with the kids. The group continued to grow as the kids brought in their friends and neighbors.
At the end of the QHM contract, the gospel workers met with church leaders. They were so excited to share about the enthusiasm of the children, that they couldn’t stop smiling. It was agreed that the kids program needed to continue.
The gospel workers found a small building for a permanent meeting space. Now, they are getting ready to paint it and make it a comfortable, welcoming space for the kids.
The worldwide QHM gospel worker program is extremely successful in bringing people to Jesus. We regularly see contracts extended beyond the original time. But, results like this in Cambodia are extraordinary. Only one percent of the population is Christian, so it is unusual to see a growing group excited to learn about Jesus.
And yet, we should not be surprised by this. We know that when Jesus is lifted up, He “will draw all people to” Him. (John 12:32) We are grateful to all the people who are donating to the gospel worker fund. Your support is making a difference for the Kingdom!
