Dec 29, 2021 Motorcycle Miracle in Zambia

Dear God, we need a miracle! Please help us find a way to connect with people who are too far away to visit. Church leaders in Northwest Zambia prayed for a solution to reach people in remote rural areas. The distances are simply too far to walk.

As in so many areas of the world, life in Zambia slowed down due to the pandemic. There are many restrictions, churches are closed, and there are limits on meeting time and attendance numbers. In the cities, online evangelism is working well to reach people in their homes.

However, in rural areas, there is no internet access for online outreach. The only way to reach the people is to visit in person. In the countryside, meetings are challenging because of the long distances between small communities and individual homes. Personal visits in homes are practically impossible because of the time it would take to walk.

As the church leaders prayed, they did not realize what God was doing in America. Now they see that God’s timing brought them a miracle. Donors like you provided 15 motorcycles and helmets for pastors. This has significantly increased their ability to visit people in the country and even plant small church groups. People are gathering outside in open spaces and under trees.

Before having motorcycles, when pastors were able to visit rural areas it was a one-time contact. There was no opportunity to follow-up on a regular basis. Now, pastors are able to visit in homes more frequently. This helps in building relationships and ensuring that questions get answered. The pastors can bring Bibles and reading materials much more easily on a motorcycle instead of carrying heavy boxes or bags while they walk.

We praise God that people are giving their lives to God through baptism because motorcycles made it a reality to reach more people than was possible before. As of now, 734 people have made decisions for Christ and were baptized! Let’s keep each person and family in prayer as they grow in their walk with God.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
