Nov 30, 2022 Nothing Can Stop the Gospel

Would you share Jesus and the end-time warnings despite restrictions, war, and political unrest? Well, this is exactly what the determined believers in Eastern Ethiopia have done!

Throughout this year, 1650 church members were trained and then strategically went out to their community. With the support of generous QHM donors, gospel workers spent time to teach church members how to give Bible studies and methods for reaching their neighbors. Much time was also spent in prayer, especially with the political unrest in the Eastern Guji zone.

In the first round of training, when 1000 members were trained, we prayed earnestly for ‘each one to reach one’ for Christ, or in other words, a 1000 Bible study interests and baptisms, shared Pastor Tadesse Adugna, President, Eastern Ethiopia Union Mission. Praise God, 733 precious souls made decisions to be baptized!

Many of these new believers were from other denominations and even other faiths, but they were continually nurtured and trained for outreach. Six hundred and fifty new believers went through a similar training as to further connect with their families and communities. But believers in the region faced unique challenges.

Movement and even curfews in our communities became restricted due to the ongoing conflicts between the rebels and government troops, said Pastor Tadesse. But although our progress was slow and challenging, God continued to bless. We’re praying and working in faith that God will continue to draw hearts to Him.

Please pray for our gospel workers and international partners around the world as they continue to share the soon coming of Jesus Christ. Pray that the Holy Spirit would soften hearts to the Lord as they learn of His great love.

The Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one who hears say, Come! Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life… He who testifies to these things says, Yes, I am coming soon. Revelation 22:17, 20
