Oct 13, 2021 Personal Questions: Divine Answers

The gospel is spreading in Panama, praise God! Here are some short testimonies from newly baptized believers:

Coming home late and drunk again, Milquiades’ 4-year-old son asked, Daddy, how long are you going to continue spending the money you earn by drinking alcohol? You are not leaving any money to feed us. Do not continue to reject the voice of God. Shocked sober that night, Milquiades and his wife prayed. It was the turning point for their whole family. The answer came through the Bible studies, and Milquiades decided to give his life to God. Both Milquiades and his wife were recently married and baptized together. They praise God for this transformation in their lives and family.

“Hey, do you want find out what the Adventists believe about Revelation?” It seemed like an interesting idea to Yaqueline and Almeira, who were members of an evangelical church. The Bible studies started off well, but they were challenged when they got to the lessons about the Ten Commandments, the second coming of Jesus, and baptism by immersion. “It was a big struggle, but we could feel the Holy Spirit urging us to follow the Bible,” they shared. Deciding to follow Jesus and His word, Yaqueline and Almeira were baptized together and now members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

“Please understand, I’m only interested to know what Seventh-day Adventists really believe; I’m not looking to convert,” said Edgardo plainly as he started Bible studies with Dionicio, a gospel worker. Edgardo was 67, a retired professor, and thought he was well versed in world religions. But as the weeks went by, the Holy Spirt touched Edgardo’s heart, and he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Edgardo was recently baptized and was so happy to receive a new Bible and book Desire of Ages, which he now reads for transformation, not just information! Praise the Lord!

“Maybe Jesus really is all He claims to be?” thought Ines as she watched the live YouTube program of the Central Church of La Chorrera. She wrote to the channel’s chat, and as a result, Ines started studying the Bible. As she studied she found out, Yes! Jesus is all He claims to be and more! Ines cemented her faith in Jesus through baptism. She is just one of many hearts who have been touched through the church’s YouTube videos and are involved in Bible studies.

“After 56 years of searching for truth and studying other religions, now I finally know Jesus and the true church!” shared Luciano. Luciano had started studying the Bible with gospel worker Juan, and sometimes their studies became debates! But after much prayer and continued studies, Luciano decided to be faithful to God, even to keep the Sabbath. Luciano really wanted to be baptized just like his Savior Jesus, in a river, so the church family all went and celebrated at the river with Luciano. Praise the Lord for this new life in Christ!

Praise God! These are just a few of the many testimonies from Panama! Please pray for the Holy Spirit to continue touching hearts and lives as we share the gospel!

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20

Take a Stand Part 1: Will you take a stand what’s right? Will you take a stand for Jesus? Out of the message to the church of Thyatira, we learn that God calls for us to take a stand.
