Feb 4, 2021 Sharing Jesus across borders – safely and responsibly!

Mission teams are prepared to return to the field when it is safe and responsible, but we aren’t there yet. We can’t know when that will be. So how can we share Jesus in the meantime?

One of the best things to come out of the pandemic chaos is to realize just how deep and sustaining the peace and hope of Jesus is. We also see how faithful He is in leading us to the tasks He has for us. As the pandemic drags on, casting its long dark shadow across the world, QHM CaresÑreaching across borders focuses on sharing the good news of Jesus even when it is challenging.

Anywhere with Jesus, I can safely go
Anywhere He leads me in this world below
Anywhere without Him, dearest joys would fade
Anywhere with Jesus, I am not afraid
ÑLyrics by Helen C. A. Dixson, 1910

By collaborating with our ministry partners worldwide, QHM Cares will put your gift to work immediately, sharing Jesus in ways that are safe, effective and reflect His love! Like our pivot to Sabbath School classes via zoom and church services via Facebook Live in North America, ministries worldwide developed creative ways to share the gospel.

Throughout the world gospel workers, pastors and believers share Jesus in their communities in safe and responsible ways.  From Kenya, Ethiopia, Zambia, Romania, the Philippines, Indonesia and China to Mongolia, Cambodia, Mexico, Panama, Columbia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Pakistan and more, the gospel is spreading!

We are delighted by the reports we are receiving! By the end of last year, QHM Cares helped communities reach more than 12,000 precious people with the love of JesusÑsafelyÑdespite the pandemic. We may be sharing Him differently, but praise God, it certainly isn’t any less important! And QHM Cares projects are gaining momentum this year. Keep watching for updates, stories and photos!

Lake Titicaca sits between Peru and Bolivia in South America. For generations, floating islands on the lake have been home to small villages. These man-made islands are created by layering totora reeds which grow in the shallows of the lake. The reeds are buoyant and the villagers continually add new layers of the reeds to maintain these floating communities. Among these little islands there are Seventh-day Adventist floating classrooms.

A similar project last year helped fund these little schools’ maintenance, allowing school administrators to put other resources towards sharing the gospel on the lake. Our brothers and sisters there are very grateful for your support and are praying for you! In December, Pastor David Echevarria from the Lake Titicaca Mission in Peru wrote:

Thank you very much for this special gesture; I appreciate your friendship. As a Quiet Hour Ministries Partner, I am very grateful for the life and health that God has given me to continue serving Him and fulfilling the mission. Your donors are my brothers and sisters through you. Together, we are doing the work that God has entrusted to us. I am praying for them, their families and this ministry. We move forward together until the work is finished. Hugs.

You have an urgent mission right nowÑto keep the gospel message going strong throughout the world. All it takes is for you to give a little each month and you will help share Jesus all year long. Your monthly gift of $25 will reach 60 more people in the next year. Every $5 you add will reach 12 more. Through QHM CaresÑreaching across borders, your gift can be put to work in the field right away.

Will you give a little each month and help share Jesus all year long?
