Mar 24, 2021 Reaching unreached tribal groups in the Philippines

Dear Lord, the students keep coming and the needs keep growingÑplease send us help! Gathering in prayer daily, the SULADS teachers and volunteers lift up their petitions to God. In increasing numbers, tribal families and their children have been coming to the SULADS schools seeking help.

Quiet Hour Ministries has been a long-time partner with SULADS Philippines. SULADS is an acronym for the core values of their mission, as follows: Socio-economic needs, Uplifting, Literacy, Anthropological, and Developmental Services. SULADS’ mission is to uplift and serve the unreached tribal people groups in the Philippines, sharing the saving grace of Jesus, who is the source of all hope. Many of these tribal peoples have no access to basic education and healthcare, so SULADS meets these needs through literacy, basic education and teaching Newstart health principles.

As the needs are increasing, SULADS’ training center also needs renovation and expansion to increase its capacity. These increasing needs bring to mind Isaiah’s message, when God proclaimed His vision for expanding the gospel proclamation:

Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. Isaiah 54:2

Through generous supporters, Quiet Hour Ministries is responding to God’s call to expand the work. QHM is excited to share the purchase of additional computers for the SULADS High School for the Lumads, as well as funds that will go toward expanding the SULADS training hall.

SULADS Secretary, Blessie Ensencio-Canopin writes:

Thank you so much for your donation intended for the SULADS Training Hall and school/office supplies for SULADS High School. As an update, the SULADS High School for the Lumads already bought six computer sets for their classes. As for the SULADS Training Hall renovation/expansion, we are still working on it. We started to consult an engineer for the project. We will send you pictures of the progress soon.

Thanks a lot. Continue to be a blessing!

We praise God for this wonderful report of how the gospel keeps growing in the Philippines. Will you pray that God would continue to pour out His blessings on the SULADS schools and ministries in reaching the unreached for Christ?
