Jan 19, 2022 Secret Stories of Underground Outreach Part 2

Recently I was traveling to Ummah*, carrying the books Patriarchs and Prophets and Hope in a Shaken World for my friends and acquaintances.

On the way, I pulled out Hope in a Shaken World to review what the book was about. This is a missionary book that was recently translated into a local language.

Nearby was a man who was gazing intently at the title of my book. He asked what book I was reading. I explained to him that this is a book about hope that we can find in Allah, despite all the difficulties that the whole world is facing today. We got to talking and he introduced himself as Rashad*.

Rashad asked if asked if I could sell him this book. I replied that I could not sell it, but that I would give it to him. He smiled upon hearing this. I wrote my phone number in the book, and I told Rashad that if he had any questions, he could call me anytime.

I haven’t received a call from Rashad yet, but I pray for him every day. Please pray for our difficult region, because there are so many people here who openly or secretly seeking the truth.

May the Lord help us in our joint efforts to find such people and guide them to Jesus! Here are a few more people I’ve met who have been seeking spiritual truth.

I recently met a young man named Emir*. He has a strong occult addiction. I told him about Jesus Christ, and that only He has power over demons and can give him freedom. I offered to pray for Emir to and he agreed. After the prayer, Emir asked to tell him more about Christ.

We talked a lot. Now Emir comes to our Sabbath meetings and with all his heart seeks fellowship with God. Please pray for Emir so that he will find freedom in Christ.

Through the project, we also met a woman named Mehar*. She used to go to a different denomination church. Mehar didn’t look at other denominations positively. But with us, she was open to our communication. We have tried to serve Mehar’s needs, pray with her, and visit her. Today we have a very positive, friendly relationship with her. I pray that God will touch Mehar’s heart to want to study the Bible with us.

A while back, I met a woman named Rida*. She is the leader of another Christian group. I said I was an Adventist and invited her to our Sabbath group. Rida gladly accepted my invitation. Since then, she has visited us every Sabbath. For the last two quarters, Rida has asked us to give her Sabbath School lessons. She also recently finished reading The Great Controversy. Rida has lots of questions, but she accepts the truth with great pleasure and openness. Rida has rediscovered the Old Testament for herself because in her church they only read the New Testament. Our group prays for Rida, so that the Lord will continue to lead her in His light.

These are just few precious souls who are being drawn by the Holy Spirit. Will you please continue to pray as we reach out to our Muslim community?

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13
