Sep 14, 2022 SULADS Expansion

Praise God for the renovations on the multi-purpose hall! We are finally able to maximize our capacity for training more missionaries! shared Pastor Ephraim Pitogo, SULADS Philippines Director. We’re so grateful for the generous donors of Quiet Hour Ministries that helped support the much needed renovations for this remote missionary training center.

This training and outreach center serves the regional communities in Bukidnon, Cotabato, Davao, Agusan, Tawi-tawi, and the mountainous Mindoro region. The purpose of the center is to uplift and serve the unreached tribal people groups in the Philippines, sharing the gospel. Many of these tribal peoples have no access to basic education and healthcare, so SULADS meets these needs through literacy, basic education and teaching Newstart health principles. The center also embraces Christ’s commission to make disciples in order to go and share His love and grace.

At first, the SULADS team was unsure of how to move forward with the renovation and expansion plans, skills and workers were limited. The SULADS culmination training was fast approaching, said Pastor Ephraim, then immediately following was the training for the next batch of missionaries, yet the construction was still hanging. But, God never delays His work! He sent us just the right workers with a relatively low labor cost and some dutiful hearts to complete the renovation.

As the largest building on the SULADS complex, the multi-purpose hall is used for Sabbath worship, group training and prayer, larger classes, as well as homecoming events. Previously, the multi-purpose hall could only accommodate a small number of people who were crammed inside inconveniently. Some attendees would sometimes just sit on the floor to fit inside, but God is generous and helped us finish the expansion and flooring in addition to purchasing more chairs.

Pastor Ephraim shared this testimonial of how the SULADS spiritual life has been enriched with the renovated hall:

We truly have been financed by faith, and sustained by miracles!

Much time was spent in prayer for God’s provision and direction. When the construction plans were completed, we submitted them to the Lord in prayer. Step by step, the installation was diligently and gradually brought to completion. We had challenging circumstances that occurred throughout the construction which reminded us that God is an amazing provider. This hall has been dedicated to His glory, and He provided all our needs until completion.

Now, the hall is full! There are more songs of praise, sincere tears of joy shared within the hall. We’ve been able to host more events that excite and exhort our hearts to seek God more. The renovated hall is much more comfortable and accommodating.

We’re so grateful that God sent us the means to continue His work here in this remote region of the Philippines. He has not forgotten us or the ones we serve. We recognize God as the Giver of all good thingsÑand that He has worked through the generosity of others.

Thanks to all the QHM donors for being a conduit of God’s love and faithfulness, through your financial support and prayers. Without your financial support and prayers, the project would not have been able to succeed.

May God grant you an abundance of His grace so that you can prosper in every good deed and always have enough of everything. This is our prayer for you as we seek to meet the needs of the poor and forgotten. Praise be to God for His immeasurable gift!

Please continue to pray for God’s blessing on SULADS and the distant and underprivileged communities they serve in the Philippines.

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15
