Aug 3, 2022 Why a Global Evangelist?

We sat down with Pastor Dan Smith, QHM Global Evangelist to help us learn more about the Global Evangelist program along with his ministry insights.

What is the QHM Global Evangelist program?

Well, it is different than what I did as a church pastor where I would go into a home and give a one-on-one Bible study. I love the personal interactions like that. But, when I think about the time I have left, I want to maximize the impact of everything I do. Being the QHM Global Evangelist allows me to take the same amount of time for an individual Bible study and preach about the character of God to an entire city in a series of meetings.

What do you mean about character of God?

Don’t you hate it when you hear something untrue about a loved one? I want to help clear up all of the negative perceptions about God that are just not true. I want to help people know that God is love. I can do that one-on-one, but if I can get up in front of 1000 people, or 10,000 people, and sweep away the wrong ideas, why wouldn’t I do that? Then people will be excited to have a relationship with God for eternity.

Why is it important to reach large international cities?

One reason I do this is that my heart breaks to speak at funerals. I just can’t wait to see Jesus return so that we won’t ever see another funeral. Preaching the gospel message is something that I can do to prepare for the second coming. We are getting more requests than we can fulfill right now. People are seeking hope and purpose. We need to act now when the timing is coming together for travel, holding large meetings, and opportunities for satellite locations.

What is the funding used for?

There are many expenses in holding a series of meetings. It takes a great deal of funding for things such as: providing Bibles, printing programs, renting extra transportation to bring people to meetings, purchasing children’s program supplies, leasing a large meeting space if the churches are not able to hold the crowds, stipends for gospel workers to promote the meetings and give individual Bible studies, and more.

Why should people support the Global Evangelist program?

The Bible says that when the gospel goes to all the world, then Jesus will come. This is one thing we can all do to help Jesus return as soon as possible. The QHM philosophy is to commit every resource God provides to sharing the Gospel around the world. So I am committed to sharing the good news of Jesus with as many people as I can possibly reach. By supporting the Global Evangelist program, you can help prepare the way and help leverage our time to bring the gospel message to entire cities, conferences, even countries.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14
